Welcome from Headteacher

On behalf of the children, staff and governors it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our website. St Vincent's is a school where we inspire students to develop their God-given gifts and talents to their full potential.

We are a one form entry primary school in the heart of Mottingham. We offer a vision based upon the central teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School has a history of many successes and our team continues building upon these. We are a vibrant and forward-thinking community where every child is given the opportunity to realise his or her potential.

The Gospel values underpin all our learning; Christ is at the heart of all we do. We recognise, not only the importance of helping students to develop academically, but also spiritually. We are committed to setting high expectations and to focus on children’s learning first. In our school, no child is left behind.

St Vincent’s is a caring and stimulating place to learn and we hope, through our website, you can have a snapshot of how our children and teachers work, learn and play together. Our school is popular and oversubscribed because our children learn in a happy and caring environment.

Pupils’ engagement in and enjoyment of their learning and behaviour for learning is outstanding, as shown by their interest, enthusiasm and behaviour. In all lessons they displayed positive attitudes to their learning and demonstrate an eagerness to learn and improve their knowledge, understanding and skills as they become independent learners.

St Vincent’s is a school that listens! Families make an important contribution to children’s achievements at school and so we are committed to involve you in every step of your child’s time here, and further increase your child’s enjoyment of learning. As a result we always value your views and ideas!

I have the very great pleasure and privilege of working with fantastic children and enthusiastic and dedicated staff and feel very proud of the school and all that we achieve. I look forward to welcoming you to our school, and to a happy and successful partnership with all our new children and families.
